ANZUK Education are working with one of our partner schools in Dorking, Surrey to find a SEMH Teaching Assistant. This is a specialist school for boys aged 9-16 with SEMH needs. Pay: £102.60 - £119.70 per day, Umbrella (PAYE option available) Location: Dorking, Surrey Availability: Monday - Friday, Monday - Wednesday or Wednesday - Friday The ideal candidate will: Have experience working with children with SEND, particularly SEMH Be calm, patient and have a proactive approach Strong communication and interpersonal skills A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners Team Teach training (desirable, but not essential) Assist with classroom management and behaviour support, and promote a positive and inclusive learning environment Key Responsibilities: Experience working with children with special educational needs, ideally in a school or educational setting Some knowledge of different types of special educational needs and strategies for supporting students with those needs Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and to take direction from teachers and other senior staff Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to respond to changing needs and priorities Valid UK DBS or be prepared to apply for a new one (we can do this for you) Please note, this role is not suitable for applicants from outside of the UK without valid, current UK right to work visa Why ANZUK Education?
