Job overview
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced physiotherapist with a minimum of 3 years postgraduate experience to lead the paediatric physiotherapy haemophilia service. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a specialised, integrated multidisciplinary team delivering outpatient care for children with haemophilia aged 0-16 years across University Hospitals Dorset Trust sites. The service collaborates closely with a network of professionals and is affiliated with Hampshire Hospitals NHS Trust as the hub site. We are committed to high-quality, child-friendly care.
Main duties of the job
* Lead and manage the paediatric haemophilia physiotherapy service and caseload.
* Provide advanced assessment, treatment, and advice to patients with complex presentations.
* Plan and coordinate episodes of care in partnership with specialists to optimise health outcomes.
* Maintain records as an autonomous practitioner.
* Provide clinical leadership, monitor standards, and implement policies based on current best practices.
* Supervise and teach Therapists and MDT staff across the Southern Haemophilia network.
* Work across all UHD sites.
* Undertake quality improvement projects for service development.

Person specification
Qualifications
* Essential: HCPC registration, BSc(Hons) or MSc in Physiotherapy, relevant postgraduate courses.
* Desirable: Recognised postgraduate qualification (e.g., MSc or equivalent).
Knowledge
* Essential: Knowledge of haemophilia pathophysiology and patient management.
Experience
* Essential: Minimum 3 years in paediatric MSK/orthopaedics, multidisciplinary team working in NHS, supervision/clinical education.
* Desirable: Research methodology experience, operational team management, leadership in change management.
