Job Description Job Title: Deputy Domestic Manager Location: Queens Hospital CompetitiveSalary Holidays 40 Hours / 5 over 7 days Job Introduction As a Deputy Domestic Manager at Sodexo , Queens Hospital , we’re committed to delivering safe, clean, and hygienic healthcare environments for every service user. In this role, you’ll play a key part in bringing this to life by training and guiding domestic teams to deliver consistent, high-quality cleaning standards in line with national specifications and policies. You’ll create a supportive environment where teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement are encouraged, helping to reduce infection risks and uphold excellence. By empowering your team, working closely with the Domestic Manager, and making informed decisions, you’ll ensure outstanding service delivery while strengthening operational performance and the reputation of both the Trust and Sodexo. What You'll Do: Deliver targeted training to domestic assistants and supervisors on correct cleaning methods and standards Ensure teams follow cleaning frequencies and meet National Specifications for Cleanliness (NSC 2025) Coach supervisors to monitor performance and address poor practices Support correct use of cleaning equipment across different environments Ensure compliance with Trust and Sodexo policies and procedures Drive continuous improvement to raise service quality and cleanliness standards Build strong relationships with staff, managers, and service users, promoting excellent customer care Monitor, analyse, and communicate team performance, using recognition to motivate staff What You Bring: Recognised cleaning qualification: BICS, NVQ or other IOSH or NEBOSH certificate Capable of delivering practical training to a high standard Implementation of innovation and improvement projects Ability to see a project through to completion Highly organized with excellent time management skills Ability to respond quickly to problems Positive attitude and enthusiasm Experience in the development and managing of staff Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, colleagues and clients Experience of working with budgets and financial targets.
