Job Title: BEV Certification Change Control Management Work Location: Gaydon / Whitely, UK (On site) The Role Exciting opportunity for a Certification Change Management Engineer role for Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) within the automotive engineering area. You will be focused on regulatory guidance, certification, and conformance services. The role is central to ensuring the automotive manufacturing business can sell products globally with the necessary emissions standards in place and rollout across all other markets (North America & Rest of the World). Your Responsibilities (Up to 10, Avoid repetition) Deploying a clear explanation of fully electrified vehicle certification requirements, the associated legal obligations, and business processes
Ensure all hardware and software changes that need to undergo certification requirements, including transparency checks
Coaching associated business areas on certification requirements to ensure timely execution of certification work streams
Maintaining owned emissions certificates and associated labels through the life of production
Your Profile Essential Skills / Knowledge / Experience: Strong understanding of certification requirements for compliance for fully electrified vehicles including hardware and software
Strong understanding of change management processes for certification requirements in various markets
Battery Electric Vehicles certification test experience
Hands-on experience in change control management for engineering changes for hardware and software and deployment of those changes for certification requirements
Knowledge of Electric drive units / High voltage batteries / Charging systems compliance standards
Desirable Skills / Knowledge / Experience: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or Automotive Engineering ; an engineering or legal education/background
Experience in electrified automotive regulations and certification
A strong customer mindset
Good understanding of electrified vehicle systems regulatory compliance
Good verbal and written communication skills
