Job Description

A key role in the Fresh Insights team, reporting to the Senior Account Manager – Prepared.

This is a hands-on role, working with a broad range of clients in the frozen and plant-based categories across branded and own label, global CPGs and start-ups. You’ll be expected to forensically understand their business, the categories they operate in and their relationship with Tesco. You’ll use this information to build robust and value-add propositions to monetise our data and insight.

Working with your customer success colleagues, you’ll network deep within your client’s business, understanding and building relationships with stakeholders and budget holders across disciplines.

Detailed knowledge of our tools and the value they can add will be critical as you consultatively sell to clients that we have a strong existing business with & those new to Tesco & data insights.

You will also support the Senior Account Manager with forecasting, new business leads & proposal writing.


Minimum Requirements

The ideal candidate will have either account management/category experience gained in a Tesco facing role, or a track record of success in the insight sales space. Experience in the fresh/frozen category would be an advantage.

The successful applicant would be expected to demonstrate:

* Experience of using data to influence users and senior stakeholders, with strong examples of increasing revenue with existing clients/developing new business.
* A strong understanding of the UK retail market and the current challenges/opportunities.
* Resilient, with a positive mindset, driven to find a new path when the first is blocked.
* A relationship builder – comfortable adapting style to varied internal and external contacts, influencing based on their needs.
* Highly numerate and displaying a structured approach to financial planning and reporting.
* A great communicator, verbally and digitally, creating simple & actionable solutions.
