A leading London law firm is seeking an Associate with 3 to 6 years post qualification experience to join its highly regarded commercial practice.
The team advises an extensive range of clients across the publishing sector, including major publishing houses, independent presses, authors, literary estates, agents, digital platforms and industry organisations. The practice handles the full spectrum of publishing agreements across print, digital, audio and cross media formats, as well as complex commercial and intellectual property matters.
The successful candidate will focus on drafting and negotiating commercial publishing contracts and advising on copyright and wider IP issues. The role offers exposure to a broad and sophisticated workload, including rights acquisitions, licensing arrangements, international copyright matters and emerging issues such as AI and content use. The work is highly collaborative, involving regular engagement with colleagues across corporate, IP, litigation and other practice groups.
This is a client facing role suited to a lawyer with excellent drafting skills, strong attention to detail and a genuine interest in the publishing and creative industries.

• Drafting and negotiating publishing, licensing and related commercial agreements
