Location: The Mallards, King’s Lynn, Norfolk
Rate: £14.03 per hour
Permanent | Full-time | 35 hours per week (rota-based)

We are recruiting a Senior Support Worker to join our service in Kings Lynn, Norfolk.
About The Mallards
Rated Good by the CQC, The Mallards is a welcoming residential home in King’s Lynn, supporting up to 11 adults with a range of learning disabilities, including autism.
Our residents enjoy active, fulfilling lives – from trips to the cinema, beach, shops, swimming, and gym, to arts and crafts, cycling, and garden activities within the home. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in leading, mentoring, and supporting our team to provide the highest quality of care.
The Role
You will:
* Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans
* Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required
* Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing
* Support activities, appointments, and community access
* Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team
* Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins
Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated senior professional who leads with compassion, patience, and respect. You will bring a positive, resilient approach and be confident supporting both individuals and colleagues. Strong communication skills, sound judgement, and the ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a team are essential. Reliability, flexibility, and competent IT and written skills are also important to this role.
Requirements
* Diploma in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards one
* Experience in supporting adults with challenging behaviour, learning disability and/or mental health issues
* Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis
* Drivers desirable but not essential
* Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech)
