This role is to cover maternity leave on a fixed term contract for one year. Your role will be to provide support in preparation of the management accounts based at Head Office. You will assist the management accounting team in meeting the period end activities to ensure management accounting journals are processed as per the pre-defined schedules. Responsibilities include: · Accurate and timely matching and posting of banking receipts to the Sage accounting system · Posting of the fast payments (receipts) in to the Sage accounting system · Enquire and follow-up any discrepancies on banking receipts against the customer ledgers · Periodic reconciliation of assigned bank accounts · Posting of the branch cash in to the Sage accounting system · Advance coding of the NHS and other large customers remittances to ensure they are matched and posted seamlessly on receipts in the company bank accounts · Strict adherence to the accounting period close deadlines · Assist in periodic balance sheet accounts reconciliations · Assist in maintaining the assets register and calculations of depreciations as per the applicable schedules · Assisting in producing the weekly, periodic and YTD KPIs. · Assist in preparing periodic accruals and pre-payments. · Handle queries from branches and internal staff. · Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed. · Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. The successful applicant will have to have a minimum of two years in accounts, excellent written and oral communication skills, be able to deal with high volumes and good use of Microsoft packages, namely Word and Excel.
