Seven Resourcing are looking for Family Support Workers within Merton Council
Our agency is currently seeking experienced and dedicated support workers happy to go the extra mile.
This job role is a full-time position working 35 hours per week on an initial 2 month contract.
Pay rates:
PAYE-£16.16 UMBRELLA-£20.12
The role:
As a family support worker, you will be required to plan, facilitate, and tailor to family support interventions. You must meet the diverse needs of families and children from ages of 0 to 25 years.
Responsibilities:
Provide supervision of family time (contact) between children in care and their families.
Transport children to and from family time sessions.
Document observations of the sessions.
Some flexibility is required to meet the needs of this service, with a requirement to work early evenings (up to 7pm) on occasion.
The successful candidate will be innovative, creative and have the interests of the child and family at the heart of their work.
You will be committed and motivated, ensuring that children and their families are prioritised. You will have experience of developing positive working relationships with children and families.
You will need good written skills, excellent verbal communication skills and a willingness to transport children.
Requirement s:
NVQ 4 or equivalent in a related discipline
DBS children and adults
2+ years’ experience in a similar role
