Then come join our experienced Palliative Care Team!
You will be part of a well-established and highly regarded team within Basingstoke community, working within an MDT environment including medical staff, therapists, and Clinical Nurse Specialists. What we look for:
* Someone enthusiastic about working with patients and their families with complex palliative care needs in the acute hospital environment.
* Someone able to provide symptom management and psychological and social support to patients and their families within the hospital setting.
* Someone capable of delivering education to healthcare professionals, patients, and families.
* Someone who works well in a team but can also work autonomously.
* Willingness to learn.
What we Offer:
* Access to clinical expertise and oversight to enable optimal patient care 7 days a week.
* Opportunities for continued professional development and support, especially for those with limited palliative care or community experience.
* Flexible working patterns that cater to individual requirements, which can be discussed at interview.
Working for our organisation
Our vision is to provide outstanding care for every patient. Patient care is central to our work across our three sites: Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester, and Andover War Memorial Hospital. Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides medical and surgical services to approximately 600,000 people across Hampshire and parts of West Berkshire.
Our cultural ambition is to foster a culture that places people at the heart of all we do, where everyone belongs, and where learning, improvement, and excellence thrive.
We provide specialist services nationally and internationally. We are one of only two centers in the UK treating pseudomyxoma peritonei (a rare abdominal cancer) and are leaders in tertiary liver and colorectal cancer treatments.
The trust employs over 9,000 staff and has an annual turnover of over £500 million. As a Foundation Trust, we are directly accountable to our members through the governors, who influence our future plans.
