Sheridan Maine is recruiting a reliable and experienced Part Time Bookkeeper to join an accountancy firm. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to maintain work-life balance while contributing meaningfully to a well-run finance function.
You'll be responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping duties, supporting financial processes, and ensuring accuracy across accounts.
Key responsibilities for the Bookkeeper:
* Maintain accurate financial records including purchase and sales ledgers.
* Process invoices, payments, receipts, and bank reconciliations.
* Prepare VAT returns and assist with monthly reporting.
* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
* Support payroll preparation and employee expenses.
* Liaise with external accountants for month-end and year-end processes.
The successful Bookkeeper must possess the following:
* Proven experience in a similar bookkeeping or finance role.
* AAT qualified or qualified by experience.
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping.
* Proficiency with accounting software.
* 2 or more years experience in a UK practice.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Discreet, trustworthy, and able to manage confidential information.
