Intervention Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) – NUI Platforms Location: Offshore – Morecambe Bay Rotation: 2/3 Contract: 12 months Mobilisation: Blackpool Job Overview An experienced Intervention Offshore Installation Manager is required to support operations across Normally Unattended Installations (NUI) within the Morecambe Gas Fields. This leadership position is responsible for leading a multi-disciplined offshore team to safely deliver maintenance, intervention and project activities across unmanned gas production platforms. The role requires strong operational leadership, ensuring safe production operations while delivering planned work scopes and responding effectively to unplanned operational requirements. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining safe hydrocarbon production, ensuring compliance with operational procedures and driving high standards of offshore performance. Key Responsibilities Offshore Operations and Safety Adhere to Safe Systems of Work to ensure safe gas production within a hazardous offshore environment. Supervise Production Operations Technicians and promote teamwork across offshore personnel. Ensure operators are competent and capable of performing their duties safely and effectively. Maintain constant awareness of plant operational status to ensure safe and efficient production operations. Monitor planned work scopes and understand the safety precautions required and the impact on protective systems and production availability. Perform emergency duties when required and maintain full knowledge of installation emergency response procedures. Authorise mechanical isolations and de-isolations and prepare commissioning and decommissioning procedures in line with safe system requirements. Operate systems and equipment in accordance with approved operating procedures and company standards. Operational Delivery Lead intervention campaigns, maintenance scopes and reinstatement activities across NUI platforms. Coordinate work scopes to ensure safe and efficient delivery of operational plans. Support continuous improvement initiatives and embed work management excellence into day-to-day operations. Ensure operational compliance with legislative requirements and company management systems. Leadership and Team Management Lead and manage a multi-disciplined offshore workforce including technicians and support personnel. Establish and maintain a working culture aligned with company safety and operational values. Build and maintain a high-performing team focused on safety, performance and continuous improvement. Provide clear communication and leadership to offshore personnel and stakeholders. Support workforce planning and ensure effective management of offshore personnel wellbeing and development. Experience Required Significant offshore leadership experience within hydrocarbon production or complex process plant environments. Demonstrated experience managing offshore teams in a high hazard environment. Strong operational understanding of offshore gas production and processing facilities. Proven ability to operate effectively in complex operational environments. Extensive experience working on Normally Unattended Installations (NUI) is essential. Qualifications Minimum requirement: BTEC or equivalent qualification in a relevant technical discipline. Certifications Candidates must hold valid offshore certification including: Offshore Survival (BOSIET or FOET) Offshore Medical MIST Key operational certifications include: Management of Major Emergencies (IOIM) OIM Regulations Training ERT Coxswain COERTM (Offshore Emergency Response Team Member) Offshore First Aid Banksman or Slinger Banksman Additional operational training may include: Permit to Work Systems Risk Assessment Environmental Awareness H2S Awareness Mechanical Isolations Well Integrity Management Systems Oil Spill Response (OPEP Level 1) Confined Space Awareness Lifting Operations (LOLER) Working at Height Important Requirement Due to the operational nature of these assets, candidates must have previous experience working on Normally Unattended Installations.
