A well-established high street law firm in the Oldham area is seeking an experienced residential conveyancer to join a stable and self-sufficient conveyancing department. This role is initially covering maternity leave starting in May, but is intended as a permanent hire, with a clear opportunity to build and retain a long-term caseload.The role is fully office-based and would suit someone who enjoys handling matters from start to finish rather than working in a high-volume, factory-style environment.The role:Full residential conveyancing caseload from instruction to completionCurrent caseload circa 100 filesMix of work including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, new builds, shared ownership and transfers of equityStrong focus on title checking and quality of workDirect client contact throughout the transactionPre-contract work supported internally; post-completion currently handled within the teamCandidate profile:Minimum of 5 years fee-earning experience in residential conveyancingQualified or non-qualified candidates consideredConfident running files independently from beginning to endComfortable working fully office-basedStrong client-handling and communication skillsPreference for quality-led conveyancing over volume-driven workPackage and environment:Established conveyancing team with a strong billing track record (historically billing in excess of 4x salary)Supportive, close-knit department with consistent year-on-year growthOffice location with reliable on-site parkingThis opportunity would suit a Conveyancer looking for stability, quality work and the chance to build a lasting role within a traditional, well-run conveyancing team.
