Job Description
We are supporting an independent offshore engineering consultancy with their search for a Naval Architect. They seek someone with extensive experience in the offshore industry, particularly in the design and analysis of offshore structures and vessels. The successful candidate will have a strong background in naval architecture and be a confident user of OrcaFlex software.
Responsibilities:
* Design and analyze offshore structures and vessels
* Develop hydrodynamic and structural models using OrcaFlex software
* Conduct dynamic and static analyses of offshore structures and vessels
* Perform load and stress calculations, stability analysis, and fatigue assessment
* Provide technical support and guidance to project teams and clients
* Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
* Participate in project reviews and progress meetings
Requirements:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Naval Architecture or a related field
* Minimum of 4 years' experience in the offshore industry
* Strong background in hydrodynamics, structural analysis, and stability
* Proficiency in OrcaFlex software
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Willingness to travel as required
