Dean of Students, Student Life
Newton Campus: The Dean of Students, Student Life Department is seeking an Administrative Coordinator to join our team. The role supports financial management, student conduct, general office tasks, and the Dean’s office. The position reports to the Campus Lead/Director of Student Engagement and supervises student assistants.
What Will You Do
* Maintain department budgets and associated documents: purchase requisitions, budget transfers, travel forms, attendance logs, receipts, fliers, and agendas; process state purchasing card reports; enter detailed budget transactions and reconcile logged expenditures against Georgia State University Budget Reports.
* Provide organizational and clerical assistance, including greeting visitors, answering telephones, making room reservations, submitting facility work orders, maintaining service contracts on office equipment, maintaining office supply inventory, and placing supply requestsn
* Serve as initial customer service agent, ensuring high quality of services, collecting & investigating pertinent facts and complaints, and handling complaints within the jurisdiction of the job description.
* Maintain and enter student conduct records in the Maxient system, ensuring accurate documentation of all records.
* Assist with campus events and functions related to Student Life; support the Director and staff with special projects; serve and participate on campus and college-wide committees.
* Provide support for program development and implementation by reserving rooms; developing advertisements for events, programs, and meetings; purchasing supplies and materials; maintaining service contracts; monitoring office supply inventory; and enforcing information board posting policy.
* Work closely with registered student organizations (RSOs) and their advisors to ensure proper processing of financial paperwork and efficient program implementation.
* Maintain and enter RSO records in the PanTer Involvement Network (PIN) to ensure up‑to‑date supporting documentation of all SAF funding expenditures.
Minimum Hiring Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree and one year of related experience, or a combination of education and experience.
