The consumer audio industry is fast paced, fun and dynamic and you will join our Luxury Audio department based in Cambridge, UK, in the position of: Service Engineer – Luxury Audio About the Role: The role of the Service Engineer is to diagnose/test and repair to component level (where possible) returned goods from Customer (RTC) or Return to Stock (RTS) units entering the service department. They will maintain in-house company databases for recording fault details and liaise with other departments (Customer Support/Engineering/Purchasing in particular) as required. What You Will Do : Product test and repair: Diagnose, repair and test customer units in a timely manner (RTC). Diagnose, repair, test and re-work of production units to finished goods standard (RTS). Test and repair of sub-assemblies and components returned from customers and return to stock where appropriate. Liaise with Customer Support as necessary to facilitate progress of units through the department if more fault information required. Assist the Customer Support department with service related technical queries if required. Assist with implementation of running changes and modifications to finished goods stock if required. What You Need to Be Successful: At least 2 years of experience as a Service Technician / Engineer with Audio equipment. Computer literacy, e.g MS Word/Excel and in-house databases. Level 2 (or above) City and Guilds in Electronic Servicing. Electronic and mechanical assembly skills. Soldering skills. Repair, test and fault finding of electronic assemblies to component level. Previous service experience of audio products preferred. What Makes You Eligible: Be willing to work in an office in Waterbeach / Cambridge, UK (subject to government guidelines).
