Our client is an industrial processing business, part of a larger group, with multiple sites in the UK. Due to an increase in headcount within their engineering team, they are looking for an experienced electrical biased shift engineer.
Role & Responsibilities of a Shift Engineer:
To carry out planned preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance, repairs, refurbishment, installation, improvement and modification or upgrade of plant, fully automated production & packaging machinery and site services.
Steam & boiler system maintenance
Follow PPM schedules efficiently & effectively
Electrical fault finding & modifications of PLC's, HMi's, SCADA Systems and Control Panels
Mechanical repair and fault finding
Working on hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, motors, contactors, inverters, sensors, drives, valves
PLC - electrical fault finding
Knowledge, Skills & Experience needed to be a Shift Engineer:
Multi-Skilled Engineer - but must be electrically biased
NVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering - Time-served Apprenticeship
Excellent problem solving & fault diagnosis skills
Knowledge of production environment, continuous improvements & development
Both strong electrical & mechanical fault finding and repair skills
Must have worked in fast-paced environment - FMCG manufacturing/production
Have experience of working on boilers & steam systems advantageous
Worked on PLC systems, Control Panels, HMi's & SCADA Systems
Bonus if have 17th / 18th Edition
