Overview
Senior Locally Employed Doctor in Urology. Fixed term position available with immediate effect. The successful candidate will join the urology team that provides services across multiple sites at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT).
The urology services are currently spread across two sites – Wythenshawe Hospital (WY) and Withington Community Hospital (WCH). Outpatient activity is undertaken at both sites, with inpatient services at WY site only. The successful candidate will have sessions at both WY and WCH and may have the flexibility to deliver activity at other sites according to service demands and professional development objectives.
Responsibilities
* Management of acute referrals to the urology department
* In-patient care
* Out-patient clinics
* Theatres
* Flexible cystoscopies
* MDT participation
* On-call duties
* Other activities timetabled according to the candidate’s skill set and service needs
* Supervision and support provided to all junior doctors according to experience and skills
