Job role Warehouse Team Leader\n\n Location Waltham Abbey – Essex\n\nSalary £27,536 per annum\n\n Hours of work \n\nFULL TIME HOURS -Monday to Friday 06:00-15:30 (1 hours unpaid break- 42.5 hours per week)\n\n About our client\n\n Centric Talent is currently recruiting for Warehouse Team Leader to join our clients team at their warehouse in Waltham Abbey.\n\n Our client is one of the UK's leading suppliers of bathroom, kitchen and plumbing products, supplying products to retailers up and down the UK.\n\nJob Overview:\n\nTo ensure that all warehouse operations are performed, on time and within budget. Through the allocation of heads to tasks, to meet the needs of the operation, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient receipt, storage and despatch of goods, stock management as well as Health & Safety compliance. All operations should be performed with RLD guidelines.\n \nStructure:\n\nThis role will report directly to the Warehouse Manager but will have a close relationship with other shift Team Leaders.\n \nThe ideal person:\n\n - Enthusiastic & proactive approach with the ability to motivate and encourage others\n - Flexible attitude, willing to adapt working hours as required based on the business needs\n - Collaborative and willing to be hands-on where requires\n - Creative problem solver\n - Experience in computer-based operations\n - FLT counter balance/flexi Bendi experience\n\n \nKey activities and responsibilities:\n\n - Must have experience of managing a team of warehouse operatives in a fast moving environment.\n - Lead teams responsible for picking and packing, goods in and despatch including staff training and development.\n - Manage the flow of goods in and out of the warehouses in line with business requirements and customer demands\n - Plan resources to ensure cost-effective productivity\n - Develop and monitor KPI’s to exceed targets and drive ownership within the team\n - Review and control Absence and Sickness, time keeping and holidays and where necessary be part of the disciplinary process.\n - Identify, recommend and implement continuous improvements to current processes or procedures\n - Strive to improve customer service through accuracy and quality (reduction in mispicks/CNF, etc)\n - To complete regular stock counts/PI’s accurately and within the financial boundaries.\n - Ad-hoc projects as required such as moving stock, development of warehouse space.\n\n \nExperience and education:\n\n - Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in high service level warehouse\n - Leadership and development of Warehouse staff\n - Proven success in improving warehouse systems and processes\n - Creative and innovative approach with a high customer service focus\n - Experience of working in high pressured environment handling high number of orders\n - Forklift licence is desirable\n - Competency in Excel, Word and WMS systems\n - Good knowledge of health and safety legislation\n\n \nShift pattern\n\n - Monday to Friday 06:00-15:30 (including 1-hour unpaid break)\n - 23 days Holiday - increasing to 25 after 3 years\n\n If you feel you have the relevant experience then we'd love to hear from you, apply today!
