Job Description
Monarch Education is seeking to appoint a Year 6 Primary Teacher for a client school located in the Salford area (M6). This is a full-time, fixed-term position commencing in September 2025 and concluding at the end of the academic year 2025/2026.
The client school is a well-established and respected two-form entry primary school with a 'GOOD' Ofsted rating. The school is recognised for its strong leadership, inclusive community, and child-centred approach.
The Head Teacher Is Seeking a Professional Who Demonstrates
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). This is a mandatory requirement.
* Experience teaching within a UK school.
* A proven track record as an effective classroom practitioner with demonstrable success in raising pupil attainment and accelerating learning, particularly within the Year 6 age group.
* Adaptability, resilience, and a proactive approach to challenges.
* The ability to work effectively both autonomously and as a valuable member of a collaborative team, contributing positively to the school's ethos.
* A strong commitment to educational excellence and achieving optimal learning outcomes for all pupils.
Role Responsibilities (Year 6 Teacher)
The successful candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive planning, delivery, and assessment of the Year 6 curriculum. Key responsibilities will include:
* Designing and implementing high-quality, differentiated lessons that align with National Curriculum standards and prepare pupils for Key Stage 2 assessments.
* Utilising a range of assessment strategies to monitor pupil progress, identify learning needs, and inform future planning.
* Maintaining accurate and detailed records of pupil performance and development.
* Creating and maintaining a positive, engaging, and disciplined learning environment.
* Implementing effective behaviour management strategies.
* Collaborating professionally with colleagues, parents, and external agencies as required.
* Contributing to the wider life of the school community.
* Engaging in ongoing professional development relevant to the role and Year 6 pedagogy.
