Teaching Assistant Location: West Drayton Start Date: January 2026 Start Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and inclusive mainstream primary school in West Drayton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development in a nurturing school environment. You will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across EYGS, KS1 or KS2, helping to create a positive, engaging, and safe learning experience for all children. Key Responsibilities * Support learning in the classroom, working with individuals and small groups * Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom organisation * Provide targeted support to pupils who may need additional help * Promote positive behaviour and support pupils’ social and emotional development * Help create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment * Support pupils during playtimes, lunchtime, and school activities as required The Ideal Candidate Will Have * Experience working with children in a primary school or SEN setting * A caring, patient, and proactive approach * Strong communication and teamwork skills * A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and wellbeing * Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential * Needs to have DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one We Offer * A welcoming and supportive school community * Opportunities for professional development and training * A positive working environment with experienced staff * The chance to make a real difference in children’s education
