To beresponsible for the efficient management and direction of the Administration Teamensuring all administrative duties are performed effectively and to therequired standard, meeting the objectives of the practice.
Main duties of the job
Direct line management of theAdministration Team
Monitor sickness and holidayrequests and liaise with Practice Manager to highlight any patterns in regardto absences.
Oversee the day to day rota toensure staffing levels are appropriate on daily basis.
Carry out and document staffappraisals and 1-1 meetings with each staff member and raise any concerns tothe Practice Manager when appropriate.
Troubleshoot any patient queriesthat may arise on an ad-hoc basis.
Support in the organisation ofregular admin meetings and prepare minutes to feed back to the team and seniormanagement where appropriate.
Monitor own workload, includingemails and tasks.
Support in the management of theChildren and Adult Safeguarding lists in preparation for meeting withSafeguarding Lead.
Oversee QoF including Abtraceand liaise with Nurse Admin team to ensure all actions are dealt with andreport back quarterly to the QoF team.
Assist with Patient Triage whenexperiencing staff shortages.
Answer telephone line whenexperiencing staff shortages.
Review complaints and deal withif appropriate to the team and redirect to Practice Manager where necessary.
