The Role As Audit Manager, youll take ownership of a diverse audit portfolio across a range of sectors, including owner-managed businesses, larger corporates, and not-for-profit organisations. Youll be a key point of contact for clients and will work closely with partners to ensure consistently high standards are delivered. Key responsibilities include:
* Leading audit engagements from planning through to completion and sign-off
* Managing and reviewing the work of on-site audit teams
* Preparing and reviewing statutory financial statements under UK GAAP
* Acting as the main client contact during audit assignments
* Identifying audit and business risks, and providing practical recommendations
* Mentoring, developing, and supporting trainees and senior team members
* Liaising with partners on delivery, resourcing, and client matters
What Youll Bring
* ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
* Strong background in external audit within UK practice
* Excellent technical knowledge of UK GAAP and auditing standards
* Proven experience managing audit assignments and supervising teams
* Confident, professional communicator with strong client-facing skills
* Organised, commercially aware, and proactive in your approach
