Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic doctor at CT1-3 level (or equivalent) to fill a 6-month rotational gap within our dynamic and supportive Mental Health teams. This role is ideal for those with prior experience in psychiatry, keen to broaden their clinical exposure across various subspecialties.
Responsibilities
* Provide Resident doctor level day to day care for acute, community, and specialised psychiatry, together with the consultants.
* Participate in the on-call rota.
* Participation in MDT meetings.
* Provision of clinical support to oncology clinical nurse specialists.
* Achieve basic competencies in Radiotherapy treatment planning and delivery, and demonstrate progress.
* Teaching experience through the junior doctor induction and education programme, journal club, and opportunities to teach on MRCP programmes within the Trust.
* Audit and Clinical Governance.
* Undergo regular appraisal throughout the post.
* Attend Trust educational and departmental meetings.
* Demonstrate awareness of national and local guidelines relating to specialty (e.g. NICE guidelines) and influence care developments in accordance with these.
* Identify, contribute to or lead on aspects in the development and dissemination of evidence-based guidelines, standards and protocols as required and implement change to improve the quality of patient care.
* Attend local, regional and national networks/meetings
* Present at seminars/conferences/meeting
