Voyage Care is seeking a Behavioural Support Practitioner with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. Our Behavioural Support Practitioners are at the heart of our delivery of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).

We’re currently searching for a dynamic Behavioural Support Practitioner to promote least restrictive practice and embed a trauma informed culture. The role will develop practice at our specialist supported living services in Norfolk which fall under our Enhanced and Complex Model of Support. Our support has been developed to deliver a model that fully aligns with the principles of Capable Environments and our skilled teams support people with enhanced and complex needs to live fulfilled lives.

You will be working with the people we support and in collaboration with our managers, external professionals and families to promote meaningful outcomes. You will advocate Practice Leadership, guiding and coaching our teams in the area of PBS, establishing good team understanding of behavioural analysis and promoting clear positive outcomes. This will promote a collaborative approach and ensure that the people we support gain more independence in their daily lives and maximise quality of life outcomes.

You will be responsible for developing functional behavioural analysis, developing and implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans, attending multi-disciplinary team meetings, engaging with the people we support and promoting a culture of reflective practice whilst embedding PBS within the team. You’ll be a friendly, dynamic and empathetic professional with a passion for delivering the best support.

This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to the lives of others, whether that’s guiding and supporting our colleagues to grow in confidence or enabling the people we support so that they meet their goals and achieve quality of life outcomes.

We’re looking to welcome a PBS professional who has both the right experience and the right values, with relevant qualifications outlined below:

· A bachelor’s degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis or a related field (such as Positive Behaviour Support) with at least two years of applicable experience; or

· Master’s degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis, or a related field (such as Positive Behaviour Support) with one year of professional experience or

· Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Psychology or Equivalent Qualification.

The Behavioural Support Practitioner for our Norfolk supported living must be a skilled practitioner and role model, demonstrating resilience, flexibility and composure in their approach. In addition, they will work in collaboration with the operational management team to develop and embed a therapeutic model of support at the service, within a PBS framework.
