Deliver Complex Structural Projects in a BIM-Led Environment
At BakerHicks, our Structural teams deliver technically challenging projects across sectors including life sciences, energy, infrastructure, defence and nuclear.
We are looking for a Structural Technician with strong Autodesk Revit experience to join our multidisciplinary engineering teams, supporting the delivery of coordinated and buildable structural solutions within a collaborative BIM environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Producing coordinated 2D and 3D structural deliverables using Revit and AutoCAD within BIM workflows
2. Developing and maintaining Revit models and Revit families
3. Supporting BIM coordination and multidisciplinary model reviews
4. Producing reinforcement detailing and RC drawings
5. Working closely with engineers and other disciplines to deliver coordinated structural designs
6. Taking ownership of packages of work, ensuring quality and technical accuracy
7. Supporting digital delivery, automation and improved modelling workflows
What We’re Looking For
Essential
8. Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit within a BIM environment is essential
9. Experience with Revit family creation and model-based structural delivery
10. Proficiency in AutoCAD
11. Experience producing structural deliverables from concept through to detailed design
12. Experience in reinforcement detailing and RC drawings
13. Knowledge of steel, concrete and timber structures
14. Understanding of UK design standards and CDM regulations
15. Experience working within multidisciplinary design teams
16. Already hold, or be eligible to obtain, security clearance for work within sectors such as defence and nuclear
Desirable
17. Experience with CADS RC
18. Experience with Dynamo or Python scripting for BIM automation
19. Experience within sectors such as industrial, energy, infrastructure, defence or nuclear
