Key Responsibilities:
* Support students with a range of SEN, including physical, learning, emotional, and behavioural needs.
* Assist with the delivery of tailored learning plans and activities.
* Help create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
* Encourage social interaction and independence amongst students.
* Provide one-on-one and small group support in the classroom.
* Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators), and other staff members to monitor student progress.
* Support students with their emotional and personal development.
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
* Experience working with children or young people (SEN experience is desirable but not essential).
* A genuine passion for working with children with diverse learning needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* An understanding of safeguarding practices and procedures.
* Experience working with children in an educational setting
Desirable Qualifications:
* A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Special Educational Needs (or similar) is preferred.
* First Aid training is a bonus.
