We're offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced environmental professional to join our clients growing Geosciences team in either Cork or Dublin. This role suits someone with strong technical expertise and leadership skills who wants to work across a diverse range of projects including contaminated land investigations, renewable energy schemes, landfill assessments, and hydrogeological monitoring and modelling.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Provide technical leadership and oversight on contaminated land and hydrogeology projects
* Manage large-scale projects from concept to completion, including resourcing, budgeting, technical delivery, and client liaison
* Lead and mentor junior team members, supporting their technical development and progression
* Oversee financial performance and reporting across multiple projects
* Review and sign off technical reports such as Preliminary Site Assessments (PSA), Generic and Detailed Quantitative Risk Assessments (GQRA/DQRA)
* Expand existing service offerings and identify new business opportunities within Geosciences
* Support recruitment and team growth strategies
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with both new and long-standing clients
* Lead and contribute to tender submissions and framework bids as part of a wider multidisciplinary team
What We're Looking For:
* Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field (MSc in Hydrogeology or Contaminated Land preferred)
* At least 10 years of relevant industry experience
* Chartered status or working toward it with a recognised professional body
* Strong background in project management and technical report review
* Experience in geotechnical investigations is an advantage but not essential
* Sound understanding of laboratory testing and data interpretation
* Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, and financial
* A proactive, client-focused mindset with business development experience
* Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
