Working within a collaborative team, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality analytical testing services using both core and industry-specific methods. Key Responsibilities Operate in compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations, championing safe working practices at all times. Conduct accurate laboratory testing using established methods and standard operating procedures. Perform and interpret a variety of tests, including but not limited to: Elemental Analysis Acid, Base and Water Titrations Density and Viscosity Measurements Particle Counting Flash Point Testing Prioritise and manage multiple test workflows concurrently. Ensure ongoing compliance with quality management systems, including adherence to ISO procedures and documentation requirements. Effectively communicate test results to internal stakeholders. Support equipment maintenance through routine calibration, basic troubleshooting, and documentation Maintain an organised, clean and safe working environment. Proactively participate in training and development to maintain technical competencies. Candidate Profile Essential: A higher education qualification in Chemistry (or a related scientific discipline), or equivalent industry experience. A proactive approach to health and safety. Strong team-working and interpersonal skills. Effective communicator with a problem-solving mindset. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently. Desirable: Previous experience working in a laboratory environment, ideally within automotive, fuel, or lubricant testing sectors. Familiarity with the techniques and tests outlined above.
