External Relations Manager
Location: Pembrokeshire, onsite HOURS: Full time Type: Staff role Salary range: Starting salary £77,975.00 per annum pro rata
Our client: Our client, based in the picturesque coastal region of Pembrokeshire and operating in the Oil & Gas industry, is looking for an External Relations Manager to join their Leadership Team.
Job Description/ The role: The role of External Relations Manager focuses on building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies and industry bodies, while driving communication, collaboration, and advocacy to support the company goals.
Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strategic relationships with external stakeholders.
Develop and manage the stakeholder relations map.
Represent the organisation at meetings, conferences, and events.
Strengthen partnerships with neighbouring stakeholders.
Support external relations and communications for strategic projects.
Engage with government agencies and policymakers to advance priorities.
Advocate for the organisation’s interests with key stakeholders.
Collaborate with Shareholder representatives.
Partner with local educational organisations to promote skill requirements.
Oversee crisis communications and media-related activities.
What is required from you:
Demonstrated experience in external relations, public affairs, or a related field.
Skilled in developing and implementing communication strategies.
Strong media and spokesperson expertise.
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and influencing abilities.
Proficiency in managing crisis communications and media engagements
