Job Description
* Lead the development of detailed designs and technical drawings for manufacturing processes.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and efficiency.
* Analyse and improve existing product designs to enhance performance and reduce costs.
* Provide technical support during the production and implementation phases.
* Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
* Manage design documentation and maintain accurate records of projects.
* Contribute to innovation by researching new materials and technologies.
* Support junior engineers with mentorship and guidance as needed.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Design Engineer should have:
* A degree or equivalent qualification in engineering or a related field.
* 10 years proven experience in industrial or manufacturing design projects with full product development life cycle.
* Advanced SolidWorks skills (3D modelling, assemblies, 2D drawings) and PDM experience.
* Strong Project Management experience
* Knowledge of engineering standards and best practices within the industry.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
