About the Role
My client is a leading provider of property maintenance and retrofit services, delivering high-quality solutions across social housing and residential sectors. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Carpenter / Multi-Trade Operative to join their responsive repairs team.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for carrying out carpentry works alongside general maintenance tasks, ensuring properties are safe, compliant, and maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
1. Carry out a range of carpentry repairs and installations, including doors, frames, skirting, kitchens, and flooring
2. Diagnose faults and determine appropriate repair solutions
3. Complete multi-trade works such as basic plastering, tiling, painting, and minor plumbing
4. Respond to reactive maintenance requests in occupied and void properties
5. Ensure all work is completed efficiently with minimal disruption to residents
6. Maintain high levels of customer service when working in tenants’ homes
7. Adhere to all health & safety regulations and company procedures
8. Accurately record work completed and maintain job documentation
Requirements
9. Proven experience as a carpenter within maintenance or repairs environments
10. NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Carpentry & Joinery (preferred)
11. Experience in social housing or residential maintenance
12. Ability to carry out multi-trade tasks to a good standard
13. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
14. Good communication and customer service skills
15. Full UK driving licence (essential)
