About The Role
Ground Movement Claims Handler: be the focal point for our customers, guiding them through the claims process from start to finish. Work closely with the surveying team and suppliers with a customer-focused approach, delivering excellent service in their time of need.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide excellent customer service, over the phone and in writing.
* Conduct initial assessments of new claims, including reviewing policy documents.
* Manage a caseload of subsidence claims from inception to completion.
* Appoint and instruct professionals, such as surveyors, to investigate the cause and extent of damage.
* Communicate regularly with customers, third parties and contractors to provide updates on claim progress and answer queries.
* Review and analyse reports from external experts.
* Maintain accurate and detailed records on claims.
* Identify and escalate complex or high-value claims to management as required.
Key Requirements
* At least 2 years experience in a household insurance claims handling role.
* Knowledge/understanding of subsidence is desirable but not required.
* Tact and assertiveness when dealing with customers who may be distressed or angry.
* Helpful and passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
