Building Contracts Manager Location: Edinburgh-based, with travel across local sites Contract Type: Permanent Salary: £40,866, rising to £44,973 after time served. Package: 12% pension matched, 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, rising to 25 after time served. Working week is 35.75 hours per week. Overview: An exceptional opportunity to join a leading client-side organisation in Edinburgh as a Building Contracts Manager. This role offers direct involvement in overseeing statutory building compliance, maintenance programmes, and contractor management across a varied estate—without working through a facilities management provider. Key Responsibilities: * Manage and monitor reactive and planned maintenance across multiple sites. * Oversee service contracts, building inspections, audits, and remedial works. * Ensure full statutory building compliance aligned to current legislation. * Lead service tender processes and contractor selection. * Supervise two service managers and support wider technical teams. * Utilise CAFM systems to optimise maintenance operations and performance reporting. * Develop planned maintenance schedules and implement effective service delivery. * Provide technical leadership and guidance on building regulations and safety. * Maintain accurate records and ensure evidence for compliance is complete and accessible. Ideal Candidate Profile: * Hard servies FM delivery experience. * Good working knowledge of SFG20 and compliance * IOSH certification preferred * Strong communication and stakeholder management skills * Experience working in multi-site environments, ideally client-side Additional Information: * Responsibility for overseeing £500K planned maintenance budget. * The role is based at the client’s FM office with regular travel to sites across Edinburgh. * Exposure to strategic decision-making and direct client interaction.
