Job Description
BHID is now the UK’s leading home interiors specialist, and the ‘go-to’ brand for high end clients who are looking to furnish any area of the home. The business comprises three brands, Neville Johnson Furniture and Stairs, Tom Howley Kitchens and London Door Company and employs in the region of 600 employees.
Key Responsibilities
* Clean and prepare door surfaces by sanding, filling, and priming as needed.
* Mask off areas that should not be painted to ensure precise application.
* Select appropriate paints, coatings, or finishes based on job requirements.
* Apply paint or coatings evenly and consistently using various tools (brushes, rollers, spray guns).
* Ensure proper coverage and finish quality, making any necessary adjustments.
* Inspect finished doors for flaws, such as drips, streaks, or uneven coating.
* Make touch-ups or corrections as needed to meet quality standards.
* Verify that colours and finishes match specifications.
* Maintain and clean painting equipment regularly to ensure functionality.
* Report any equipment malfunctions or repair needs promptly.
* Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when handling paints, solvents, and other chemicals.
* Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
* Keep work area clean and organised.
* Complete production reports and documentation accurately.
