Role Summary:
The Supplier Management department is responsible for the life cycle management of vendor agreements and supplier relationships. We provide GTT sales and network with vendor capabilities for service delivery at optimal cost. Day-to-day activities in Supplier Management include negotiation of T&Cs, researching and resolving vendor issues in concert with other GTT organizations, vendor documents, and related database management, supporting internal process flows, and providing expert advice on vendor capabilities and obligations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Liaising with vendors to gather and document contact information and service capabilities including coverage
2. Maintaining current vendor information, including contracts and contact information, in internal databases
3. Review and editing of vendor contract proposals
4. Collecting and reporting on objectives and initiatives of other GTT organizations requiring vendor activity
5. Advocacy with vendors for issue resolution
6. Documenting and controlling access to vendor portals for order submission and trouble management
7. Ad hoc research and reporting on vendor spend, inventory, capabilities, and issues in support of a wide range of needs from various groups and in support of projects internal to Supplier Management
8. Extracting from vendor documents and accurately recording vendor pricing information in internal tools
9. Department document production and filing
Required Experience/Qualifications:
10. Market level expertise of UK market and regions specifically in the telecommunications space.
11. 5+ years of telecom experience
12. Excellent oral and written communication skills
13. Must be self-motivated with good planning skills
14. Advanced PC skills with Windows applications including but not limited to Excel and Word
15. Strong document/database management skills
16. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in an autonomous environment
17. Proven project management skills
18. Para-legal training is a plus
19. Knowledge of vendor contracts and support of contract negotiations
20. Experience supporting a large volume of suppliers
Desirable Experience/Qualifications:
21. Desire to learn new material in a fast-paced environment
22. Technical knowledge of GTT products
23. Telecom networks
24. Four-year degree in Business or related discipline is preferred
Hours/Travel/Shift:
Hybrid working or remote working with travel to Nottingham or London office.
