Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Clinical Neuropsychologist to join our multidisciplinary team in Cheadle, supporting adults with acquired and traumatic brain injuries. The post-holder will play a key role in delivering neuropsychological assessment, formulation, and intervention, contributing to patient-centred rehabilitation plans and long-term recovery outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological assessments of individuals with brain injuries.
* Develop and deliver evidence-based formulations and interventions tailored to cognitive, behavioural, and emotional needs.
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, nurses, and medical staff.
* Provide consultation, guidance, and supervision to other professionals and support staff as appropriate.
* Contribute to service development, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
* Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with professional and organisational standards.
* Participate in regular clinical supervision and continued professional development.
Essential Criteria:
* Doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology (HCPC registered).
* Postdoctoral training or equivalent experience in Clinical Neuropsychology.
* Chartered Psychologist status with the BPS (or working towards).
* Experience working with individuals with acquired or traumatic brain injuries in a clinical or rehabilitation setting.
* Excellent assessment, formulation, and report-writing skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable Criteria:
* Full Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology (QiCN).
* Experience with complex neurological presentations and challenging behaviours.
* Involvement in service development, teaching or research.
