Coastal CAMHS is looking for a Mental Health Practitioner to join our friendly team. As a Band 6 MHP, you will hold a professional qualification in nursing, social work, occupational therapy, or another discipline registered by a recognized regulatory body. You will work as part of a CAMHS multidisciplinary community team, providing assessment and treatment to children experiencing moderate to severe mental illness. You will contribute to formulation and care planning for children and families and take the lead on cases requiring complex multi-agency involvement.

Main duties of the job
This is a key and fast-paced role in a busy community CAMHS team. The post holder will undertake initial assessments for referred children and young people, ensuring safeguarding, risk management, and care planning are of the highest standard, providing effective patient-centered care. You will manage a diverse caseload of young people with complex emotional needs, requiring attention to detail, especially around risk management, and coordinate with external agencies such as social care and education. You will also have opportunities to co-facilitate groups and deliver evidence-based care alongside multidisciplinary colleagues.

Qualifications (Essential)
* Degree/Diploma in occupational therapy, nursing, or social work
* Evidence of post-qualification study
* Registration with HCPC, NMC, or Social Work England
* Training in standardized assessment tools
Knowledge and Experience (Essential)
* Experience as a qualified mental health practitioner
* Broad experience working with clients with mental health problems
* Experience of group and individual work
* Experience in multidisciplinary teams
* Supervisory experience with staff or students
* Experience as a Care Coordinator
* CAMHS or crisis care experience
* Experience of multi-agency work
