The Opportunity Are you passionate about food safety and ready to make a real impact in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment? Walkers Deli is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Food Safety Technologist to join our Technical team. Reporting to the Food Safety Manager, youll play a key role in maintaining and improving our food safety systems. Lead and complete site validation programmes (e.g. allergen, species, cooking, cooling, metal detection).
Support the management and continuous improvement of the sites HACCP system.
Maintain and update allergen and species risk assessments, ensuring action close-out.
Manage CCP controls and ensure timely resolution of any non-conformances.
Assist with audits, customer visits, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

As a valued member of our team, you will bring the following skills and experience: - Degree in Food Science, Technology, Microbiology, or equivalent experience in food safety.
Experience in a food manufacturing environment, ideally with chilled/meat products.
Intermediate HACCP training and understanding of BRC and retailer standards.
Strong analytical, report writing, and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and confident working with data and statistics.
