A friendly and well-established nursery in Redbridge is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Deputy Nursery Manager to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Room Leader or Senior Practitioner ready to step into a leadership role within a supportive nursery environment.
The Role
You will work closely with the Nursery Manager to support the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery while maintaining high standards of care, safeguarding, and early years education.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Nursery Manager with daily operations
* Lead the nursery in the Manager’s absence
* Support and motivate staff across the nursery
* Ensure EYFS, safeguarding, and health & safety standards are maintained
* Assist with staffing ratios, room organisation, and planning
* Build positive relationships with parents and carers
* Support children’s learning and development in a nurturing environment
Requirements
* Level 3 Early Years qualification essential
* Previous experience as a Room Leader, Senior Practitioner, or Deputy Manager
* Strong understanding of EYFS and safeguarding
* Positive, hands-on leadership approach
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
