About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Freelance Resident Liaison Officer (RLO) to support works on a housing scheme based on-site in Ashington. This role is key to ensuring clear communication between residents, site teams, and project stakeholders throughout the duration of the works.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining positive relationships with residents, minimising disruption, and ensuring works are delivered with excellent customer care standards.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the main point of contact for residents before, during and after works
Provide clear, timely communication regarding schedules, access requirements, and any changes
Conduct resident consultations, home visits, and drop-in sessions as required
Manage and resolve complaints or concerns in a professional and empathetic manner
Coordinate access arrangements between residents and site teams
Maintain accurate records of communications, vulnerabilities, and special requirements
Support the site team in delivering works with minimal disruption
Ensure safeguarding and data protection standards are upheld at all times
About You
Proven experience as a Resident Liaison Officer within social housing, planned works, or refurbishment projects
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Confident dealing with residents in occupied properties
Highly organised with strong administrative ability
Able to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally
Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (preferred)
CSCS card (desirable)
