Job Title: Project Engineer Location: Bridgnorth
Salary: £48,000 - £50,000 per annum
Hours: 36.25 hours per week (with Flexi-Time)
Holidays: 33 days per year (including public holidays)

Project Engineer Role Overview:We are looking for a driven Project Engineer to manage capital projects, from concept to completion, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance. With a focus on mechanical systems and installations, you'll drive key projects and support the operations team. Project Engineer Responsibilities:Project Execution
Lead the planning, design, procurement, and installation of CAPEX projects
Manage technical issues throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
Coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers, ensuring all deliverables are met
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements throughout the projectTechnical Support & Training
Provide technical support to the maintenance team and ensure smooth project handover
Organise and lead training for operational staff and apprentices
Oversee Final Acceptance Testing (FAT) and ensure all necessary documentation is completedReporting & Documentation
Prepare regular project progress reports and cost reports
Ensure accurate records of technical documentation, drawings, and supplier agreements
Monitor project KPIs (e.g., CAPEX spend, timeline compliance, FAT performance)Safety & Compliance
Adhere to internal HSE policies and procedures
Review and issue work permits, ensuring compliance with safety standards
Identify and act on areas for improvement in safety or risk management
Project Engineer Specification:Essential:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
Experience in project management, machinery installation, and commissioning
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, utilities, and safety regulations (incl. CDM)
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience managing suppliers and contractors in project environmentsDesirable:
Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards
Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile project methodologies
Knowledge of CAD software and project planning tools (e.g., MS Project)
Experience working with Prince2 or similar project management frameworks
