Job Summary
The Lansdown are on the lookout for a Kitchen Manager to join our close knit team. As an independent pub, we have full control of our menu and weekly offerings which can present a lot of room for creativity.
We all know hospitality rarely goes to plan, we need someone who's who's willing get stuck into all aspects of the kitchen and react on the go to the stresses of pub life
The job will consist of a 40 hour week, usually split across 4 days. Anticipated hours will be Thursday - Sunday (flexible depending on business needs).
Responsibilities:
* Assist the owner in running the kitchen
* Food preparation and cooking
* Supervise and help train kitchen staff
* Monitor stocks and ordering to ensure adequate food levels for service with minimal wastage
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen
* Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
What a week at The Lansdown looks like:
* Monday: Kitchen closed, deep cleaning
* Tuesday: Bulk a la carte preparation, 4-9pm service, 2-4-1 burgers
* Wednesday: 4-9pm service, Wing Wednesday
* Thursday: 4-9pm service
* Friday: Roast preparation, 12-3pm & 5-9pm service
* Saturday: Roast preparation, 12-9pm service
* Sunday: Roasts, 12-4pm service
