The Role You'll take ownership of backend services and platform architecture, helping to design and deliver highly scalable systems that support real-time data processing, integrations and cloud-native applications. Working closely with product and engineering teams, you'll help drive technical excellence while contributing to the long-term scalability and reliability of the platform. What You'll Do Design, build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs Develop real-time and event-driven applications Lead architectural decisions that support business growth Build and maintain integrations with third-party platforms Improve platform reliability, performance and observability Work closely with AWS cloud infrastructure Contribute to engineering best practices and technical standards Mentor developers and support knowledge sharing across the team Collaborate on product innovation and future platform development What You'll Bring Essential 5+ years of commercial backend development experience Strong Node.js and TypeScript expertise Experience building and scaling RESTful APIs Knowledge of WebSockets or real-time communication systems Experience with Redis, caching and messaging patterns Strong SQL and relational database experience Exposure to queue-based or event-driven architectures Experience working with AWS cloud services Strong understanding of system reliability, monitoring and observability Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-moving environment Nice to Have Experience with real-time platforms or data-intensive applications Exposure to cloud-native distributed systems Experience scaling products during periods of rapid growth Knowledge of monitoring and alerting best practices Experience working on customer-facing SaaS products Why Join?
