Role: HR Business Partner
Contract type: Part-time, 2 days per week
Location: Bristol, Hybrid
Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum (2 days per week), equivalent to £75,000 FTE
Start Date: ASAP
Reports to: Managing Director
Role Overview
This is a hands-on, part-time HR role with a strong focus on day-to-day people operations, compliance and employee support.
Principal Responsibilities
People Operations & Frameworks
* Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes, including role design, candidate screening, and the delivery of a high-quality onboarding experience.
* Implement and maintain HR policies, procedures, and frameworks to ensure they are accessible and scalable for a growing team.
* Manage the day-to-day administration of compensation, benefits, and contractual arrangements in line with company policy.
Employee Relations & Compliance
* Manage all standard employee relations activity, including performance management, conduct, grievance, and absence matters.
* Maintain a strong understanding of employment legislation to ensure all contracts, right-to-work checks, and people practices always remain compliant.
* Ensure consistent application of company policies and fair treatment for all employees across the business.
HR Strategy & Implementation
* Implement and maintain the organisation's HR roadmap as defined by the strategic leadership.
* Ensure all people processes are efficient and appropriate for a scaling organisation.
Manager Support & Culture
* Support and advise line managers on people management capability, helping them address issues early and effectively.
* Play a central role in embedding and protecting the organisational culture through daily interactions and initiatives.
* Support and execute employee engagement, wellbeing, and retention initiatives.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
* Proven experience in an HR Generalist or People Operations role, ideally within a fast-paced or startup environment.
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail and a passion for building clean, efficient processes.
* Solid working knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practices.
* Pragmatic and solutions-focused, with the ability to build trust quickly across all levels of the business.
* Comfortable operating as the primary point of contact for HR and managing multiple priorities independently.
