The Trust
Kenilworth Multi Academy Trust has a vacancy for a Teaching Assistant, Level 1, to undertake specific one to one daily learning and personal care for a Year 7 pupil on a fixed term contract to July 2026 at Kenilworth School and Sixth Form.
Kenilworth School and Sixth Form is the only secondary school in the community of Kenilworth, is oversubscribed with engaged and motivated pupils. In September 2023 we opened our doors of Kenilworth School after relocating to a brand new, bespoke campus on Glasshouse Lane, Kenilworth.
Ofsted rated the school as Outstanding in November 2023, maintaining our rating from 2013. The school is well resourced to support the delivery of the subject. The post holder will join a supportive team with opportunities for professional development.

The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to assist our student with day-to-day learning support, together with personal care needs, including toileting and assistance with mobility. Our new year 7 student has cerebral palsy and is a wheelchair user, so will require additional support throughout the school day, including during break and lunchtime periods. The role is vital in helping the student access their learning in a safe and dignified way. Bespoke manual handling training will be provided to ensure you are fully equipped to deliver this support effectively and confidently.
Our Teaching Assistants carry out a varied role to provide general and administrative support to our students. The responsibilities include working in-class with teachers and supporting students under the direction of the Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion and SENDCO. Teaching Assistants provide support with a variety of learning, physical and sensory needs.
We are looking for someone who is computer literate with a range of good standard of education.
The hours of work are Monday to Friday 8.40am to 3.40pm on a term time only basis.
Whilst the role is term time, you will be expected to attend the inset days, for additional remuneration, currently set at four days per academic year.
