What You'll Be Responsible For
• Build complete family trees for deceased property owners
• Identify spouses, children, and potential heirs
• Review probate filings and confirm estate status
• Search obituaries, public records, and online databases to verify relationships
• Confirm property ownership through county and appraisal records
• Compile organized research summaries with source links
• Clearly document confirmed facts vs. assumptions
• Provide consistent updates on file progress
You will not be responsible for sales, cold calling, or legal representation.
Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years experience in genealogy, heir research, probate research, or title-related work
• Strong familiarity with tools such as Ancestry, FamilySearch, and public record databases
• Comfortable navigating U.S. county clerk, appraisal district, and court websites
• Organized and able to structure findings clearly
• Strong written English and communication skills
• Able to manage multiple files per week with consistent turnaround
Experience in Texas or North Carolina property records is preferred but not required.
