About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic, motivated team of renal nurses who deliver a high standard of specialist care at the lower ground dialysis clinic at the Royal Liverpool Hospital.
Working Hours
Full time, 37.5 hours per week.
Environment & Shift Pattern
You will be working in a friendly and supportive environment, providing comprehensive care and support to patients and relatives. We currently have 25 stations running from 07:00 to 00:30, Monday–Saturday; the dialysis unit is closed on Sundays. Hemodialysis units are also located at Broadgreen, Warrington, St Helens and Halton hospitals, and you may be asked to support one of these clinics on occasion.
Responsibilities
* Set up dialysis machines and strip and clean them after treatment
* Request monthly blood samples via ICE
* Take patient observations and assist patients on and off dialysis chairs/beds
* Record daily fridge temperatures, perform water flushing and provide patients with refreshments
Qualifications & Experience
* Currently working as a Band 2 or Band 3 health‑care assistant in a hospital setting
* Motivated, keen to learn new skills and committed to high‑quality patient care
Training & Support
Training at the dialysis clinic will be provided, and you will be supported and trained under the supervision of our experienced and dedicated renal team.
