Senior Project Manager (12 Month FTC)
AXA Partners are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Project Manager (12 Month FTC) to lead on the delivery of compliance-related projects across the organisation. The ideal candidate will ensure that all projects adhere to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to implement compliance projects, monitor ongoing project compliance activities, and promote a culture of compliance awareness.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Plan, execute, and oversee key compliance projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget
* Identify requirements and assign responsibilities to appropriate team members to facilitate effective project execution
* Oversee the coordination of internal resources and the engagement of external consultants, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all information gathered
* Develop agreed project plans, including defining objectives, deliverables, milestones, and resource allocation, through consultation with stakeholders
* Effectively identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and assumptions, implementing measures to manage and control key project metrics
* Identify and manage interdependencies (within and outside of the projects) to ensure coordinated delivery
* Monitor and report on project progress, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
* Ensure documentation and reporting of actions, findings, and corrective actions
* Manage key stakeholders by providing regular updates on the progress of each workstream or project, ensuring that all submissions undergo thorough internal review before submission
* Appropriately escalates issues as necessary to address any delays or risks, facilitating timely resolution and maintaining project momentum
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting the organisation
What You’ll Bring
* Professional knowledge of the legal, regulatory and policy frameworks in which financial services companies operate
* Proven programme/project management competence, including successful delivery of the project lifecycle from definition to benefits realisation, ideally within the insurance, assistance or financial services sector
* Experience of managing multi‑million‑pound initiatives with major business risks/benefits
* Accreditation in Prince 2 or Agile project/programme/portfolio delivery to practitioner level
* Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills (influencing and negotiating, expectation and relationship management)
* Proven ability to provide challenge and feedback to project team
* Strong analytical, research and reporting skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
