Practice Site: Bridge Veterinary Practice (Wroxham). If you enjoy working with a close-knit bunch of like-minded people and you enjoy being busy whilst having fun in a professional, friendly, supportive working environment then this is the practice you are looking for We are a small animal first opinion veterinary practice based in the beautiful Norfolk Broads, we are fortunate enough to have the city of Norwich a short car or train ride away (yes, Wroxham has a train station), the broads on our doorstep and the amazing Norfolk coast a short drive away, the best of all worlds. David and Marie (Director/Practice Manager) are married and had the opportunity to realise their dream of being the owners of a thriving veterinary practice back in 2015 when the previous owners decided to retire. David has been working with Bridge Vets since 2004 where he started as a locum for what was meant to be a short-term cover - well I guess you could say time flies when you are having fun 20 years on and from locum to lead vet and now the owner of a small animal practice. Since 2015, we have grown from a four vet to 6 vet practice and are an amazing team of 28, who work together, and all join in to help each other. We are a sociable bunch who like to get together and go paddleboarding on the broads and Sunday family picnics in the park Our ethos has always been clear: to do the best for the animals in our care within the means of our clients and to look after our team with respect and kindness. We take pride in doing our job well - of doing the best we can for the patient and we're here to look after our clients, to try and work with them and to think about how they are feeling too. We're not here to meet targets and sell everything under the sun but to do our best to help our clients decide what's right for them. Our clients are largely intelligent, caring and who trust us to do our job, knowing that we will always do our best. The practice has four consulting rooms, prep room, theatre, lab, imaging suite, separate dog, cat and isolation wards, lab, with a staff room (including coffee machine with hot chocolate) and offices upstairs, it is lovely to have a staff room and chill with a cuppa and catch up with the team. We have a great array of equipment from our latest purchase of our fab Phillips ultrasound machine to digital dental x-ray, tonometer (Tonovet plus), and video gastroscope and bronchoscope, rhinoscope, along with laparoscopic surgical stack and full Idexx lab including Sedivue, (the nurses really appreciate this machine). The vet team enjoy a 4 day week with a 1 in 3 Saturday (when the Saturday is worked this is counted as one of the four days that week), with an average 36 hours per week. Our rota is designed to give one 4 day weekend and one 3 day weekend per 6 weeks. We have tea breaks built into the diary with 30 minutes in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon to enable a tea break and time to report lab results in addition to the lunch break Routine appointments are 15 minutes with euthanasia's being double.
